Uses:
The tuber is used traditionally for the treatment of bruises and sprains, colic, chronic ulcers, haemorrhoids, cancer, impotence, nocturnal seminal emissions, leprosy and also for inducing labour pains and abortion. The juice of the leaves is used to kill head lice and also as an ingredient in arrow poisons.
