Uses:

The pulped leaves are applied to chronic ulcers and sores, and for headaches. The leaves roasted over a fire or bruised fresh, and their juice are applied as a poultice to bruises and contusions to allay inflammation and prevent discoloration, as a styptic to fresh cuts, abrasions, wounds, etc., and in either way to bites of venomous insects, gnats, etc.
